Memorial Senior Secondary School Zira
Ferozepur was established in year 1883 as a
Primary School. It was upgraded to middle school in 1943. Then up gradation of school to high
school took place in 1956. It was upgraded
to senior seconday school in 1992.
At
Present this school is functioning as a smart school. In the school 6th
to 12th classes are going on. Science stream is also going on in 11th
and 12th class. Vocational stream is also going on from 9th
to 12th class for skill development of students
Mr.
Rakesh Sharma joined as a Principal on 9-08-2019 under the keen guidance of Mr.
Rakesh Sharma innumerable developing task have been performed. Varies labs i.e
Rot, Computer Lab, Science Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Health care lab, beauty and wellness
lab have been maintained properly for enhancing the practical knowledge among
the students. There are smart class rooms occupied with projectors for making
the study interesting and comprehensive.
Keepi
ng health of the students in view purified drinking water system has been
installed and hygienic washrooms are provided to the students. Open gym
facility is given to the students for maintaining their good health.
There are many lawns along with an
educational park which provides knowledge related with Math, Science, Social
Studies. As Mid-day Meal facility is
going on in the school . There is dining Hall shed and a large kitchen garden in the school. There is a botanical
garden also there is a playground with badminton and Kho-Kho court . A
solar system had been installed in the
school for energy saving. Whole building is making learning of fun with very
attractive BALA Work.
Mr. Rakesh Sharma is working very hard
for making the school smart to ultra smart with the help of all staff members and
community. He is working not only as the backbone of school with also
performing his duty as DSM efficiently for making district school smart and
then to convert them ultra smart with
his hard work scenario of Government
school is changing in comparison to private schools.
Enrollment increase in SGRM School by
40% in Session 2020-21 shows that school is progressing by leaps and bounds
under his supervision.
